What type of products would you buy or bought?

If you were to buy products or have bought products online; What were they...Example..Gift Baskets, Clothing, Flowers, Baby Shower or Bridal Gifts..I'm looking into opening a online business and I wanted to know what are the consumers looking for.

What type of products would you buy or bought?
All of the above. How will you differentiate yourself from the other million or so online stores?
Reply:http://andes.topratebiz.com/
Reply:I would buy consumable staple nonperishable products ie. toilet tissue, paper towels, cotton balls, sanitary napkins, disposable razors.
Reply:If my mind were anywhere near accurate enough to remember everything I have bought online there wouldn't be enough characters allowed on this input box to list them all.
Reply:I myself am an Ebayer...buying stuff I can't find in a store. Buying in a store is easier b/c you can see what you are getting AT THAT MOMENT. Doesn't matter what it is.

The craft store had a sale and I brought some fake flowers that are meant for bridal bouquet. Now is about how to arrangement and tie them together into a ball, so it becomes a bridal bouquet. Please provide websites that teaches how to do it (with pictures). I really need help on this.

Does anyone know where you can get those little crystal gems for your bridal bouquet?
I'm not sure if this is EXACTLY what you mean, but I had these in my bouquet for a little bling...ordered them from this site and was very pleased, but you need to get the ordered NOW to ensure shipping time and if there is any mess-ups you may have time to fix it! I had about 25 roses in my bouquet with greenery, hand-tied style and she used about 2.5-3 boxes in mine....hope it helps!

Has anyone ordered silk flowers from save-on-crafts.com?

I have a bridal book that recommends this site and the flowers look nice (I'm looking for silk flowers that have a realistic look to them...if I do decide to go with silk flowers - still undecided). Can anyone tell me what the quality of their bouquets is like?

Has anyone ordered silk flowers from save-on-crafts.com?
No, but I hear A.C. Mooe have some grate ones
Reply:Never heard to them... but Hobby Lobby is the GREATEST. My best friend used their silk calla lillies and they were amazing. I still have my bouquet and almost a year later all my quests smell them. Everyone thinks they are real.

Good luck and best wishes.
Reply:I'm not familiar with this site's products but have you checked at Hobby Lobby? I've done all my own florals for my upcoming wedding and purchased most of mine from there. They really have some beautiful ones to choose from.

Good luck in your search! Happy Wedding!

Has anybody tried the bridal floral packages from costco?

Did the flowers arrive in good condition? Were you pleased with the overall quality and arrangement?

Has anybody tried the bridal floral packages from costco?
I did not use them for my own wedding but i did use them for a friends and not only did they turn out beautiful but they had an amazing price. They were guaranteed. They did exactly what the bride wanted and they were the freshest flowers i have ever seen. I truly think it is more bang for your buck. Hope your wedding is wonderful!
Reply:I've done the flowers for more than 50 weddings and some of the best I've ever done were budget weddings with grocery store flowers. They don't last long but technically you only need them for one night. White roses are sometimes a little scary cuz they tend to bruise but I would go for it. If you want them to be more personable, if you do do roses what i do to make them rich looking is getting white pearl corsage pins at michael's and sticking one in the center of each bud so they're flush with the top of the rose. It looks so beautiful and makes the brides bouquet stand out from the bridesmaids. Adding your own ribbon helps too! Hope that helped :)
Reply:I got my flowers done by a grocery store...not costco, but I'm sure it was something similar and they were gorgeous, fresh and at a decent price. I dont know what the other person is talking about , but they last just as long as any other flower as they are fresh flowers. go for and save yourself some money you can spend on something else you really want for your wedding. congrats and good luck.

Who gets invited to the bridal shower?

My wedding has been post poned to next year because somethings were not finished. My matron of hoor was going to give me a bridal shower. She has cancelled it until next year. Who should she inivite. I know she only invited the bridal party her mom and my sister in law. Shouldn't she invited my sister and My Aunt ( My Mom's sister) The flower girl and her mom also ?Should I have say in who comes to my shower?

My sister and Aunt were very hurt not being invited.

Who gets invited to the bridal shower?
Your Maid of Honor should ask you for a list of those you wish to invite. Unless of course it is a surprise. She may have limited funds to give you this party and so it limited the number invited. You should of course address this with her in a non threatening manner and maybe even offer to have a family member assist her with the arrangements.
Reply:She should invite all the women invited to the wedding and whoever else she could think of.
Reply:Depending on how many people you need to invite, you may want to hold a family shower and a friends shower separately. I attended my cousin's family bridal shower, there were tons of people there, and she still had a separate shower held by and attended only by her friends.

Now that it is my turn, I am having a friends only shower. We have a small family and it would've been only the moms, my grandma and that cousin (who I think sucks anyway) invited from our family. My mom gave her approval that they didn't have to be invited, and she'd be the one to suffer that decision since she lives near them and I don't. So friends shower only, it is.

My MOH is hosting my shower/bachelorette and asked me who I wanted to invite, since I had to get their info (from coworkers she doesn't know, since she doesn't work with us). I think you should have input into who is invited. I don't understand why your MOH invited *her* mother but didn't invite your sister?

I imagine the bridal party, including the flower girl and her mother, can be at the shower, but will definitely be at the rehearsal dinner. Maybe that will be good enough for the flower girl and her mom, at least. Bridal showers can get a little adult for a kid young enough to be a flower girl..sometimes they are focused around lingerie or uhm...worse.

Remember that the point of the bridal shower is to "shower the bride with gifts." So gifts are expected (they are not expected of wedding guests), and for a family member to hold the shower is not considered good etiquette since it gives the appearance of the family asking for gifts. Keep that in mind if you like the idea of the separate friends and family showers. Maybe the mother in law-to-be can host the family shower and your MOH can host the friends shower.
Reply:Yes, it is a party for you, so she plans it, gives you a # of seats available and you get to fill those seats. You family %26amp; friends are the # 1 on the invite list. Then his family %26amp; friends. Then she can have a few friends if there is room left over. It is YOUR day.
Reply:Whoever is hosting should be consulting with you on who should be invited. It should include women from both sides - yours and your bfs. The moms, grandmas, aunties, siblings and sisters-in-law, female attendants, close friends...
Reply:You should not have a say in who is invited to your shower. The hostess gets to decide that.

However, everyshower that I have ever been to has included every woman invited to the wedding.

How anyone can give a shower without inviting the bride's sister is beyond me.
Reply:If it is to be a small shower then close family and the bridal party should be invited. If a larger one, then all the women on the guest list should be invited.

So to answer your question yes your aunt and the flower girl and her family should have been invited. Maybe your maid of honor really doesn't know who should and shouldn't be inivited. If I were you I would definitely talk to her and let her know who you would like to be invited. If you don't feel cofortable doing this, then have your mom or her mom tell her and give your guest list to them.

I am sure it will work out sound sliek she really didn't know what she was doing.

Good luck!
Reply:Perhaps she needs a little help with this one? Why not write a list of all of your female friends and family and then narrow it down to suit the venue. Give her the list and explain how important these people are to you and are looking forward to their company at your shower.

Best wishes
Reply:You should invite your bridal party, mother, sisters, sister-in-laws, future mother-in-law, all grandmothers (both sides), close friends, and family (including aunts, cousins, ect..) it's in your honor invite who you want. If expense is an issue for her, let the bridesmaids chip in.
Reply:Yes, she should have. Your family is just as important, if not more, than hers. Tell her to knock it off, it's your wedding, and you will okay the guest list, if you please!!!

She was rude and inconsiderate to exclude them. Maybe you should reconsider your Matron of Honor.
Reply:yes i would giver her a list with names and addresses that you would like to attend and ask her if this is feasible
Reply:I'm from New York and our bridal showers are BIG...just about any female in your family and your grooms family is invited... as well as female friends...if they're invited to the shower, they're invited to the wedding, and usually vice-versa.
Reply:What a bizarre concept!

We don't do this in the UK , it's hard enough getting the actual wedding guests to buy anythng decent.

We have Hen Nights out. All the wedding party females go out and watch the chippendales or similar, or worse!

Baby showers seem to be catching on in the UK at the moment, I have been to one!!

You Americans. Weird man. You love spending money.
Reply:Any female involved in the wedding should be invited. It is up to the party giver to ask for a list of people you want to invite. If she hasn't asked for it, just send her an email list and say, "Oh, I forgot to mention that these ladies are also involved in the wedding, and I'd feel rotten if we couldn't invite them.. Is there room to accommodate them?" She may just not have known everyones name and address. She really should have asked, but it's not too late to let your matron of honor know about the changes you'd like made to the list. Any female relative or friend is eligible as a guest. Your matron of honor may have only made an innocent mistake. If she wants to keep it small, she should ask you your choice of whom to invite. It is your wedding, after all, and you deserve to have your friends celebrate with you.
Reply:There should be whoever you feel comfortable with, whoever you want to invite. It shouldn't just be up to your matron of honour though, it's your wedding, make it yours. Don't leave yourself open to regrets. Make sure you invite everyone YOU want to your bridal shower.
Reply:It is my understanding that in a "female only" bridal shower (some people go co-ed) you are to invite: the mothers of the both bride and groom, siblings of both bride and groom, close female relatives of bride and groom, the bride's side of the bridal party and any other close female friends of the bride. I feel she should have invited your sister and your aunt to the bridal shower. I believe you should have a say in who attends a party being throw in your honor, but if your matron of honor is paying for everything it could be a quite touchy subject inviting more people than she can afford. I would sit down and explain your feelings in a kind manner and see if you can come to medium.
Reply:In Scotland it's courtesy to invite all female guests to the bridal shower, In Scotland if I understand your terminology it's called a show of presents.

Hey Scary, You call us Scot's tight fisted.
Reply:oh my gawd, how could she not have invited your sister, that's is so hurtful !
Reply:All immediate family should be invited. You are correct. Perhaps she could not afford it. A shower can be expensive. Offer to help pay or have your mom offer.
Reply:A bridal shower should include any or all of the female friends of the bride, ALL the female family members of both the bride and the groom (and in rare cases close female friends of the groom).

As the bride, you absolutely should have complete say in WHO gets invited to your shower. If she is not going to go along with you.. Let your sister know this wasn't your idea and you tried and get your sister to have a different shower/more normal one for you.

Any ideas for a unique bridal party gift?

Nothing too expensive. I already have part of the gift, but need something else for bridesmaids, junior bridesmaid, and flower girls.

Any ideas for a unique bridal party gift?
Good looking groomsmen? LOL, seriously, how about some a fashion bag filled with some cute accessories that fit their personality. Beach bags, scrapbooking, jewelry, etc. Another idea would be a cute picture frame with nice poem and picture of you and the girl(s). Good luck!
Reply:pretty necklaces, and bracelets
Reply:how about a gift certificate for a manicure for the bridesmaids and a little bag of hair accessories for the flower girls? (Dollar stores are a great source for these items)
Reply:flower girls if they are young children- activity bag filled with coloring books, crayons, bubbles, etc.

Also helps them keep busy when they become bored during the wedding as children do.

junior bridesmaids and bridemaids- braclets, neclaces, hair accesories, makeup bags with makeup, (simple makeup for junior bridesmaids)

manicure kits (fun for all ages) , nailpolishes, mini photo album and disposable camera so they can take photos,

you can get more ideas at the knot.com

You can do alot on a budget. For the jewerly you can get cute things that actually last a long time at target. I buy jewerly there all the time and get compliments on it. It doesn't have to be expensive. It's the thought that goes behind the gift.
Reply:For the Jr Bridesmaid - how about the new Harry Potter book (kids need to read!) or something else that she would read?

Flower Girl - a subscription to 'Highlights' magazine

Bridesmaids - a subscription to a magazine that they would enjoy.

Reply:I gave my girls pendants from swarovski to wear with their dresses (if they wanted) and an engraved picture frame with all of us in it that said "friendship is the wine of life" and we were all holding a glass of wine... my friend gave us little mini scrapbooks of our time togerher and left the last page blank with the title bridesmaid 2006 and them mailed us a picture a year later of the wedding day
Reply:I like the idea of little purses they can use on wedding day, you can even make them yourself!
Reply:Coming from a very large family with large wedding parties, we always gave matching necklaces or bracelets for everyone. Simple styles like a tin-cup necklace, a charm bracelet, something that could be enjoyed and treasured for a long time.
Reply:I asked my whole bridal party to list their top favorite songs and made a few cds for in the limo, then each person got a couple of Cds. Also, I gave my girls jewelry as well as a mani, pedi, and massage the day before the wedding. My husban took the guys all golfing, and gave them travel humidors and cigars. The best gift I recieved from being in a wedding was in the summer and we all got adorable LL Bean beach bags with our names, stuffed with all kinds of beach goodies - towel, lotion, oil, book, wine, nail polish- etc. You could do the same bag idea for any season though, and stuff it accordingly! Good luck!
Reply:any accessories they may need to the wedding day is a great idea. also, i got my girls little bags embroidered with their initials, they used them on the wedding day but then had them for to use for makeup bags/travel bags after the wedding. they loved them, my bff still uses hers to this day. congrats!
Reply:matching necklaces, or bracelets, earrings.
Reply:Slippers, mirrored compact, bath and body works items.
Reply:cute little bracelets
Reply:My cousins friend made jewelry and she had each one of us a necklace made that fit each of our personalities. It was a really sweet gift and something personal. And I still have it to this day. I love it
Reply:i gave mine picture frames with me and that particular person. i gave the same style frame, but in different colors so it could be a little personal.
Reply:Maybe a charm bracelet or even an id bracelet with the name imprinted on it with the wedding date on the other side.

What flowers are in this bouquet???

It is the bouquet that is 18 rows down...it is the very first one on the 18th row. It has blues and stuff in it. I need to know what all the flowers in it are. it's at this website: http://www.bloomtastic.com/weddings.htm; This might be a direct link to the picture but i'm not sure if it will work: http://www.bloomtastic.com/images/Weddin...

What flowers are in this bouquet???
I am a florist.

The large Lilly is a Stargazer Lilly. ($6-$11 per stem)

The small white flowers are Stephanotis.($1-$4 per bloom)

The roses look like Attache or maybe Hot Princess Roses.($3-$6 per stem)

The blue ones are white Dendrobium Orchids that have most likely been died that color. (These are pricy! $9-$20 per stem, each stem has multiple blooms)

Your florist can re-create this affect for you.
Reply:The big ones are lillies the red ones are roses the blue ones are pansies search google images.

good luck!
Reply:The big flowers that are the focal point are lilies. Hot pink are roses. I am not sure about the white and blue.

Reply:I think the blue flowers are blue dendrobium orchids. Look at this web page - http://www.marlowsorchids.com/inc/sdetai...

Flowers help?

i need help with the flowers for the bridal party. my boquet is going to be orange and red roses. what should they have..help please

Flowers help?
My bouquet will probably have lily of the valley, irish bells and lavendar roses. My bridesmaids will have part of that being the lily of the valley and irish bells, but no roses.

If you are having just roses, it would make sense to have your bridesmaids have roses as well, or else you can incorporate another flower into your bouquet and they can have that one then. For example, my friend had lilies and roses, but we carried long stemmed lilies down the aisle.

I like the idea of bridesmaids having orange and maybe a bit of white....

http://images.google.com/images?um=1%26amp;tab...

These flowers would also be nice because they can be orange and white and mixed in with some roses, that would be pretty. You can also use lilies, daisies, gerbera daisies as well.

Good luck!
Reply:If you are having orange and red roses, you might try orange and red gerbera daisies. I just received an arrangement from my fiance that was orange-ish red roses with orange gerberas and it was stunning.
Reply:I would recommend that the bridal party have boquets with just the orange flowers so that your's will stand out more with the red roses.
Reply:You can go with the same flowers. If you are having orange and red roses, they could have orange. OR red roses accented with the opposite color ribbon.

ie: Orange bouquet with red ribbon OR Red bouquet with orange ribbon
Reply:Are you making your own bouquets? If not then ask your florist what they suggest, they come up with such amazing ideas! If your making your own then I would go orange like the previous poster suggested so as not to take away from your bouquet. Happy Wedding!
Reply:It's up to you but what I would do is have more red roses in your bridal bouquet and more of the orange in theirs.
Reply:a bouqet of orange and red roses...

wtf u just answered ur own question -_-

repost this w/ a pic!
Reply:I agree the bridesmaids should just have the orange roses with a touch of white.
Reply:Talk with your florist. They'll have some great ideas for you. They do wedding flowers all the time.
Reply:The bouquets for the moh and bridesmaids should be smaller replicas of yours or similar to yours. Maybe different colored ribbons.
Reply:have each bridal party have a different boquet with a touch of orange or red roses in the middle!! you could have one with an orange rose and the next with a red rose
Reply:i would say that your bouquet should be either orange calla lilies with red roses or as you said orange and red roses.

then your bridesmaids flowers hould pick up one of the colors from your bouquet. i would say orange calla lillies or orange roses.

How should I add color to my bridal look?

I don't want the color to be in the flowers but on me.

Blush pink dress

or

color earings and necklace with white chiffon dress and white flowers?

How should I add color to my bridal look?
Since it is your wedding and you are considering the white chiffon, I'd go with that. I think years from now when you look back you'll be happier with the more traditional color. Like the other poster, you could consider a more off-white color to enhance your natural coloring. Either way, I'd be sure to have some white/off-white in the earrings %26amp; necklace. But don't forget about the bling of other colors as well!

A definate with the white flowers (several of the white flowers are a more off-white color as well).

Good luck %26amp; congratulations!
Reply:Try maggie sottero she has a website and colored dresses.
Reply:Congratulations on your wedding! :)

I think the white dresses with the accents of color are just gorgeous and a lovely way to incorporate some beautiful color into your dress.

www.alfredangelo.com

www.davidsbridal.com

They both have some very beautiful (and surprisingly affordable) gowns with color incorporated into them. You can either match the bridesmaids colors OR you can go with a nice blush pink or champagne color.

I am thinking a blush pink dress may actually make you appear even lighter than you are. It may appear too washed out on your skin tone. But try them on to get an idea. Good luck!
Reply:I don't think you should wear pale colours, as they only look really good on dark people, they will only make you look paler and wishy washy. Have you thought about a long, straight, fitted dress in emerald green with an elegant bouquet of pure white flowers, silver earrings and a silver crucifix and a delicate diamante tiara. Good luck, I really think this look would be amazing on your colouring.
Reply:Instead of a stark white dress go with an off white color, or there are gowns that are white with color embroidery on them with flowers, patterns and such. Red or Purple are good colors on a dress like that. With your skin tone being pale, an off white or ivory might be the way to go, you don't want to look like you have a pink/red tone to your skin in the blush pink dress.
Reply:I vote for the colored earrings %26amp; necklace with the white dress.
Reply:What about flowers in your hair? It will be beautiful/....
Reply:I would do the coloured earrings, but would be careful about the necklace.

Just because you are fair doesn't mean that you have to add colour. Fair skinned beauties in ivory or a cool toned white are amazingly beautiful. Think Grace Kelly, Princess Di, Nicole Kidman.

And you can apply a few layers of self tanner and still look like you. It will actually make you appear better in photos and you won't really be able to tell that you are wearing it. If done right, it will give you a glow rather than a massive orange tan. Be careful about using one with a bronzer. You won't want to use it 2-3 days before the wedding as the tint could get on the dress. The few days before, use only a non-tinted one and you'll be fine. : )
Reply:blush pink dresses are really pretty, but coloured earings and jewellery would also work really well. or a colourful tiara or head dress?
Reply:You could always start with a white wedding dress and then change into another dress - full of color - once the reception gets under way.
Reply:I have also seen some where the bride has almost like a belt or sash of color that ties in the back. I think it would also look great if you added some color to the flowers, too. I know you said you wanted it on you... but I think both would work great.
Reply:have you concidered a sash? you could do a white (or ivory) dress and put a sash around your waist.

it think it's a beautiful look.
Reply:Check out www.davisbridal.com

They have some beautiful dresses and veils accented with color.
Reply:I got married on June 10th and honestly couldn't picture myself in a white dress either, I'm not that pale I just didn't want all white. I ended up getting my dress at David's Bridal and it was accented with an apple red color. I absolutely loved it and it made coordinating my wedding party a lot more fun! I know they have some other color options through David's as well and were also able to coordinate the veil with the red too. You can see pics of what we did on my 360 page, I strongly reccomend incorporating color into the dress itself, it makes it more unique to your own style and what you want!

Congrats and good luck with your wedding planning!

Is it old fashioned to have a head table at a bridal shower?

We were thinking of having the bridal party sit at a round table like everyone else, but I have 10 bridesmaids and a flower girl, including myself that is 12 people to sit at one table. It may be easier to just to a head table, but I'm willing to compromise if it's old fashioned and people don't do that anymore.

Is it old fashioned to have a head table at a bridal shower?
IMO a bridal shower so elaborate as to need an answer to such a question is a bridal shower run amok. My idea of a bridal shower is a very casual 2 hour gathering of 12-30 people in someone's home to play silly games, enjoy some cookies and punch, and leave a gift. IMO, bridal showers that are mini-receptions with every female on the wedding guest list included, sit down dinners, and rented venues are shameless attempts to extract more "loot" from guests and I decline all such invitations.
Reply:for bridal showers i much prefer mixing everyone, it provides people to better get to know each other. as far as it being old fashioned, i dont think so, i think it more depends on the style of shower youare doing, its it more formal, or more casual and laid back.
Reply:This depends upon where the shower is. I had two showers - one given by my fellow teachers and students, and it was in a parish hall, so we had a separate table, with just me, my mom, and sister.

For my hometown shower, it was in our church hall, and the tables were just around in a big square, so we all sat at one end together.

However, at a home bridal shower, there is usually just a special chair for the bride to sit in.
Reply:I must say, I've never heard of a head table at a shower, and I've been going to weddings for 30 years. The shower is much more casual than the wedding, so why not have people sit wherever they choose to? There's no particular reason to have the bridal party at their own table, as long as the bridesmaids are available to help with the gift-opening and keeping track of who gave what.
Reply:That's a personal choice. Most weddings I've been two in the last two years all have had a head table. You also have to make room for the dates of the bridal party. If they don't sit at the head table, they should be right next to you.
Reply:get rid of the head table you are right that is too many people and f does not allow for mingling and it is so old fashion most people do not know about a head table. It may make your brides maids look elites.
Reply:Well, I am not sure if it is old-fashioned or not. I have never heard of this.

Where I come from, there is usually a table where the bride sits and opens gifts...but during the party she usually sits/eats with sisters, mother, and MOH's. Other people just kind of sit where they land.
Reply:my family is Italian and very old-fashioned, so NOT having a head table at the bridal shower is considered a big no-no. However, I have been to many non-Italian bridal showers that have head tables too; quite a few that were in recent years.. I would have a head table if you have that many people.
Reply:I've never heard of having a head table at a bridal shower, only weddings. The bride should sit with her mother, MOH's closest to her, and everyone else you can assign by who knows who, etc.
Reply:I don't think it's done at bridal showers, only need to have a head table at a wedding.
Reply:It is done at bridal showers and I had just as many people at my head table at my bridal shower. I used a rectagular table for the head table with all my bridesmaids and flowergirls. Then I also had round tables for everyone to sit at (the guests) My mother and mother in law each had their own round table in front of the head table to seat who they perfered next to them. It is great having a head table at the bridal shower your bridesmaids can assist you in opening your gifts and putting the away as you open them.
Reply:Showers don't have or need head tables. It's not old fashioned because it has never been done. The bride and her attendants are mixed with the other guests. Most showers are not so elaborate that they need tables for everyone. Usually it's held in someone's home and there are enough chairs set up in the living room or wherever so that everyone has a seat. Anything more elaborate than that is considered modern.
Reply:I've never heard of a head table at a bridal shower. People usually just sit where they want except for the bride. There's usually a special seat for her. The bridal party doesn't usually sit together. They just sit wherever they want.
Reply:I think that is up to you. My venue has round tables and we plan to have them sitting at a round table and having just me and hubby to sit at a table by ourselves.

I want to open an all in one Bridal Shop, How can I get started?

I would like to open an all in one bridal shop with bridal gowns, prom gowns, tuxedos, bridal accessories, flower arrangements, invitations, entertainment contacts, wedding cakes. I want to have a one stop easy shopping for the bride to be in one place that they can depend on with everything and anything that the bride will need for her special day. I am considering on having an on site bakery, on site florist, and an on site taylor/seamstress. I know there is no other like it anywhere in close proximity to my area. So if anyone can direct me to the right direction I will greatly appreciate it.

I want to open an all in one Bridal Shop, How can I get started?
There is one near where I live. Here is their site. They do more consignment dresses but that would be an easy switch to new and including the prom dresses as well. DON"T forget mother of the bride dresses - so hard to find nice, non-frumpy grandmother dresses!! Good luck!
Reply:I have to agree with one of the other. You need to start small. The gown shop and tux rental would be good start. This is not uncommon to see them together.

The other companies could be hooked up to your company. These company share the same building. That way you would not have to worry about if you company goes under the rest will not be hurt.
Reply:First thing, you are going to need a Business Plan and financing from a Bank. You need to do your homework, figure out how much you are likely to get in a business loan and start putting paperwork together showing that you've researched.

I would not recommend an onsite bakery UNLESS you are an experienced baker. Having that would open up a whole other area of workplace and food safety regulations that you would have to meet.

To be honest, it would be best to start small. You are more likely to get financial backing (which you will definitely need) if you have a more modest goal at start. It's fine to plan for the future, but starting too big is one of the big reasons new businesses fail. Learn one area (i.e., dress shop) and build an excellent business reputation in that before you try to diversify.

If you don't have a business background or experience operating a company, I suggest you take some business classes. Owning and operating a business involves a lot more than you might think - hiring/firing/training staff, site mantenance, accouting rules and regulations, workplace safety, inventory management - just to name some of the basics.

Good luck! Opening a business is hard work and you have to be dedicated. You won't see a profit immediately, especially for the grand plans you have outlined. It's going to take a lot of dedication (and an outside source of income) to make your dream a reality.

Color of flowers?

I have no idea what color I want my bridesmaids' flowers to be in my wedding. I believe their dresses are going to be a dark red (called apple at David's Bridal). What color flowers would go with this????

Color of flowers?
My sister used the color combo - she did white roses for the maid of honor instead of for "just the bride" and hers were done in the most beautiful "black red" colored roses from a florest with no white - the contrast was fantastic - the bridesmaids carried matte black lanters with tiny red rose accents at the corners of the handle. The lanterns were lit with tiny white rice lights (battery powered)

It was very elegant
Reply:candy apple red with ivory
Reply:I just went to a wedding and the bride had chosen a deep red for her bridesmaids. The rest of her wedding was done in black and white. It was gorgeous. The bridesmaids carried bouquets with white lilies and little tiny red roses. With the dark greenery..it was stunning.
Reply:I think that it totally depends on the look that you're going for - but you could almost do any color.

White - simple, traditional. White flowers go with almost anything.

Red - romantic (could be a little matchy-matchy though)

Orange - fiery, spicey. Would probably work best with a fall wedding.

Yellow - bright and sunny. Yellow tends to look really great with red.

Blue - depending on the shade it could look really nice.

Purple/lavendar - purple and red together look really luxurious and regal.

multi-colored - you could just get really colorful bouquets that had a punch of red in them.

It might be a good idea to take a fabric swatch or a paint chip or whatever you use to match colors, and take it to a florist. Hold it up next to all the different flowers and even ask the florist what colors or flowers they think would look nice. That way you'll not only know what colors you want to use, but the specific flowers (keep in mind that if you don't do this around the same time of year as your wedding, those same flowers may not be available.)
Reply:White would look very pretty with that color, those are the colors my sister had at her wedding.
Reply:red and white would look ncie together
Reply:i would go with a white i hear that it is like trust and foreverness and i think that it would go well with the dress! hope you have a great wedding! a red rose might be to reddish!lol but what do i know!?
Reply:If you are having the florest do it for you then they can show you what colors would go. My florist really helped me when I picked out my flowers and colors. Just have an idea of what kind of flower you want and a piece of the fabric from the dresses to match them to.

Good luck!
Reply:When is the wedding? You have to look at what time of the year this event is planned for, because it's hard to find some flowers without spending a lot of money during certain times of the year. I think, white with green, or maybe white roses tipped to match the brides maids dresses. Any fresh cut bouquet would be acceptable as well. It all depends on the season in which your wedding will take place, and what flowers are available at that time as well. If you are going with dark red bridesmaids dresses, then I would guess your wedding is being planned for the fall or winter. Green ivy mixed with flowers would be pretty also.
Reply:cream roses.
Reply:White queen alstromerias would be beautiful and they're usually inexpensive.
Reply:go with those pink/red/white lilys
Reply:White would look best.........ask a local florist to show you wedding books and you may find exactly what you want in them......I did!
Reply:if i were you i would choose yellow roses (preferably a lighter yellow if you can get it) and perhaps white carnations, with a little green decor that they always put in. i think that would match well. good luck with the planning and congratulations!
Reply:I would use yellow or white...or both...

Gerber daisies are awesome flowers. I would stay away from red. Sometimes reds clash with one another. But it is your choice.
Reply:Possibly yellow.
Reply:red. duhhhh
Reply:I agree that white or ivory would look really good with it. But it would really be up to you and what color you like. Personally though I wouldn't go with green because it would to much like Christmas than a wedding.
Reply:I seen the prettiest bouquets with the gals in red dresses...they were in reds/ light/dark pinks...JUST GORGEOUS. Very classic. Monochromatic....Really just look around. I wish you much luck...:-)
Reply:maroon sounds lovely. congrats
Reply:black or yellow
Reply:White, yellow or maybe a light green would look nice with red
Reply:I would definately use dark red or a bright red-----go with some shade of red. White would be nice as well, and of course I am a huge fan of pink! Just make sure the flowers match the dresses as well as the theme of the wedding! Good Luck and Have Fun!
Reply:pink %26amp; yellow
Reply:white or off white like calalillies
Reply:I just got married on June 10th and used the David's Bridal Apple Color as well. It was beautiful. I had the dress that had the ivory and apple combination and did mine and my bridesmaids flowers in different combinations of ivory and red roses, I just made sure that for the girls' bouquets that there was more ivory than red, especially around the outter edges of the bouquets. Everything was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for a better day. If you want to see pictures you can check out our wedding website at: http://normandandjessica.weddingannounce... under the photo albums and wedding pics. We got so many compliments on the color combination too! Good luck and congratulations!
Reply:Since red is a dark color... why not just a white flower so it will hightlight the gown.
Reply:i would use white and red....

What colors should i use for my wedding flowers?

i'm using gerbera daisies for my wedding, my bridesmaids dresses are green (clover - green from David's Bridal) and the linen (tables) and chairs are green to, by the way i'm getting the flowers from theflowerexchange here's the question i don't know if i should use only orange flowers for my centerpieces or should i use only yellow???? or if i should use both i'm not using any greenery i'm just going to tie them together. please help i also need help chosing the color for my bridesmaids mini bouquets ???? if you guys have pictures it will be great i really need help here my wedding is just around the corner august 11th!!!! thanks!!!

What colors should i use for my wedding flowers?
Use both colors for the bouquets and then alternate the colors for the tables...one in orange and the next in yellow. The orange of a gerbera isn't the harsh color of some orange flowers, while the yellow are brighter than some others. I think the combination is perfect and you should run with it!!!
Reply:I was recently the maid of honor at my best friend's wedding. My dress was clover green. She used pink and ivory as accents. I think in your case yellow would look much MUCH better than orange.
Reply:both
Reply:Congratulations! I personally love the orange and dark pink gerber daisies together and think it would look nice with the clover green. Good luck!
Reply:What do you think of these colors maybe?

or these as greenery fillers?

Not saying you would purchase them from there, but i thought the combinations looked nice. If you do purchase them online from here, they do come very nicely packaged and last a LONG time fresh
Reply:Definately do NOT use orange. It'll look like the guest are at a flordia state game.
Reply:How about peach instead of orange. It won't be as harsh.
Reply:use both colors.

you could use the same flowers and colors for the bridesmaids.

Red Flowers?

What are some inexpensive (in June) red flowers to make bridal bouquets out of?

thanks

Red Flowers?
Carnations.

Dang, I got beat. Tear. lol

Go with them though. Cheap and look similar to roses from far away.

If you can go more expensive then do tulips. They are simple and red and pretty. Those would be my top choice hands down. Good luck
Reply:Roses? Are roses expensive i dunno but ummmya roses are signs of love which would be PERFECT mixed with either green leaves or some kind of white smaller flowers
Reply:Carnations or may roses.
Reply:Lilies, cornflower, carnations, poppys???

Orchids

I think stargazer bouquets are very striking on their own, with baby's breath and greenery.
Reply:Undoubtedly the most beautiful flower to me is the lilac - all shades of purple and white at a wedding are absolutely stunning. And of course they smell so wonderful too!
Reply:I had ivory roses with greenery in them. However I love pink roses and I love Gerber Daisies they are beautiful and they come in so many shades.

How much did you spend on your flowers for your wedding?

Delivery included. We bought them in bulk and did our centerpieces (36)before the wedding. That included all the bridesmaids (6) bouquets and brides that were made up by the florist, 20 Boutonnieres and corsages for everyone else.
Reply:i actually went to a local flower/nursery. if you could find a local one, they're great. you can usually find a pretty fair discount at one also. mine will cost close to almost $25 a centerpiece. the bridal party will cost me a little bit extra since the flowers will be dyed.

but! good wishes.

6 corsages
Reply:Just remember that you don't have to get real flowers... who'd be able to tell the difference anyway...and they won't last forever anyway. In pictures they all look the same as well.

Go to an arts store like a Michael's or a crafts store and search around there. Maybe just get yourself real flowers (for your bouquet) if you have to have them.
Reply:I just did the bridal party and it was like $300 including delivery. Parents, Bride and groom, 5 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen
Reply:Just under 800, from a local florist. My bouquet was a mixed handtied European bouquet (some roses, lilies, alstromeria, carns, an orchid, etc.), which was about 100; bridesmaids were a smaller version, so there were four at about 50-60 each. That included boutonnieres for the guys, several corsages, and three floral arrangements - which we used at the church, then they were on the head table.
Reply:About 2,000.00. For that I got boutionerres (spelling?) for all men in the wedding including the preacher and singers etc. I got hydgrenga and rose bouquets for my bridesmaids, a rose "ball" for my flower girl, a huge flower arrangement for the church and a large flower arrangement for the reception. Flowers are very expensive so it just depends on how much you are going to use. Good luck!
Reply:around $800 total....250 was for 12 centerpeices (made those myself, the 250 covered the materials) and the rest was for bouquets, bouts and corsages, one guestbook table arrangement and cake flowers. We didnt have any arrangements on stage, we had columns and ferns and they covered a lot of area for a lot less than 1 $400 arrangement would have! It was beautiful....

Reply:i paid a little over $300 and that is with 6 couples standing up and feeding 400 people i found the bouquets and all flowers on line and they are beautiful
Reply:I don't remember it's been so long. I wanna say somewhere in the neighborhood of 200-250.00 ??? Sorry. I had a small wedding with one maid of honor, one best man, no flower child. I think we had small centerpeices, tho.
Reply:We bought silk flowers in bunches (already in bouquets) from walmart and cut them up. I also got hand picked greenery and roses. beads, and sprays, ribbons. we then created our own bouquets by mixing the flowers together and using floral tape and wire. We made the boutonnieres and the centerpieces and centers for the pew bows. I spent about $250.00 on everything. I had 4 large bouquets, flower girl basket and headband, 10 boutonnieres, 40 pew bows, and 30 centerpieces.
Reply:I had two different florists. My co-workers brother has a flower shop on the high end price. Extremely high end quality as well. He gave me a great deal. $320 for a full orchid %26amp; rose bouquet, two large floral arrangements at the altar, and the gazebo had 3 large arrangements, and 12 boutenniers, AND a box of rose petals. Needless to say, he went above %26amp; beyond because he delivered arrangements worth at least 3-4 times what I paid. My bouquet alone was worth almost $300 %26amp; he charged me $60! For my centerpieces, corsages %26amp; bridesmaid bouquets, I went to the downtown flower market district %26amp; brought the price down from $45 to $16 a centerpiece. Their price including free delivery was about $700. More or less, I spent a little over $1000 for 20 centerpieces, 5 corsages, my bouquet, box of petals, 12 corsages, 5 BM bouquets, gazebo flowers with pillar rental, and 2 extra floral arrangements. Grand total, appx. $1100.
Reply:$700 no centerpieces, 6 bridesmaids, 1 bride, 12 boutineers, 4 corsages, 1 high low, i aisle runner, and 2 larger floral arrangements.

Since we were married in a redwood grove, it seemed silly to spend a lot on flower arrangements, or to have very formal bouquets.

So the day before the wedding, my matron of honor and I went to the local open-to-the-public florist's supply store. We picked up a roll of florist's tape, some corsage pins, a roll of red silk ribbon, and a bunch or two each of everything that was long-stemmed, pretty, and cheap that day. We added in one bunch of red roses. Half the roses went into my bouquet, and one rose was laid on each table at the reception.

There wound up being sheaf bouquets for six (me and five bridesmaids), a corsage for my beloved's mother, and boutonierres (sp?) for six (groom, four groomsmen, my father) and a simple decoration for each table at the reception.

Wouldn't have worked for some spaces, but it was plenty for us and everything looked great.

Reply:About 800. I had a huge alter arrangement. That was the expensive part. Bouquet for 4 bm and me, bouts for 4 gm and groom. Then bouts for the fathers and corsages for several important people (mothers, grandmothers, aunts-i think 8 total).

For flower centerpieces I ordered from a warehouse tons of glads. They came in the box and we arranged them ourselves.

Plus I bought a couple dozen silk hibiscus flowers at a craft store, to scatter around on the gift table and buffet table.
Reply:About $3000. 25 centerpieces, bride's bouquet, 1 toss bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouquets, 5 corsages, 7 boutonnieres, greenery for outdoor arch, greenery/decoration for head table.
Reply:$800. We got 6 bouquets, flowers for church, pews and some for reception. We used hurricane lamps and candles for centerpieces so didn't need them for tables. My bouquet, 2 dozen roses, was the most expensive item.
Reply:We were lucky because the venue preferred to use its own centerpieces. We carefully thought through and planned a bouquet for the bride, two attendants, the groom and his attendants, plus the immediate family (grandparents, parents, step-parents). Oh, the musician had one. The total cost was around $500.00. There was a "throw-away" bouquet also.

The bridal and attendants' bouquets were put into vases atop the bridal table!

Check different wedding sites such as THE KNOT, etc for ideas for centerpieces. If it is during warm weather, why not use flowers that could go into the garden. Of course, it would depend on the time of year. Or use an indoor ivy plant. It looks quite nice plus could have something with it. Not every venue will let you use candles so ask before you put that into the plan. Too many weddings have tried the mirror on the table with glassware and marbles, etc. Looks cheesy.

Best of luck. Just stay out of the crafts store aisles where it will take lots of work to produce something that YOU think is unusual. The best idea is something that can be given away or reused in another way.
Reply:I only spent $100!!This includes mothers flowers, grandmothers flowers, the groom, best man, ushers and centerpieces. I had a very small intimate wedding and it was very lovely.

Small white flowers found in bouquets?

Does anyone know what the small white flowers used in bridal bouquets are called? they look kinda like jasmine flowers.

stephanotis. they are pretty expensive, but really pretty.

Where can I find pretty paper plates for bridal shower?

I'm throwing a garden party/bridal shower for my sister in May 2008 and I need to find some cute plates, cups and napkins with a flower or garden theme. Does anyone know of a website that decorated paper plates? I've looked everywhere and can't find any! My alternative is to have an assortment of plain pastel plates, but would really prefer some flower plates.

Just an extra idea: for my friend Dana's garden style bridal shower, we requested in the invitations that everyone bring a packet of flower seeds and a taracotta pot. They were buying a house and now they have a beautiful garden as well. And you can buy flower seeds for 88 cents at Walmart.

Colors and dresses and flowers, and oh my?

Okay, my wonderful fiance and I got engaged and like most girly girls, I've kicked the planning into overdrive, and I'm needing some suggestions. I know that I want one of our colors to be periwinkle (cross between light blue and light purple) but I don't know what to compliment it with. I have no idea what to do for flowers with this color. And my dress is what I'm scared of most of all. I'm having issues finding a plus size bridal gown that I like. I've started my diet and fitness routine, and know I have time to lose some, but I still don't know what my dress should be. I've gone to all the sites I can think of and still can't decide. HELP

Colors and dresses and flowers, and oh my?
what might look really nice is an orangey hued flower...like wildflowers, or tigerlily.

gold is pretty too, like periwinkle w/ gold sash or trim (shoes)

good luck, and congratulations~
Reply:ask the girls at www.sassy-girls.com they will help you with all the wedding questions you have i promise! they are great girls! it is a wedding planning and womens forum
Reply:light yellow or green
Reply:How about just "shades of purple and blue" can be your colors, with periwinkle being predominant? I think mono-chromatic weddings are gorgeous and you can really get into it with lilac, sky blue, cobalt, royal purple, pastels and even neons.

For your gown, buy the size that fits you now and you can ALWAYS get it altered down to fit your body closer to the wedding date. You can always take a dress in, but you can't always let it out.

Good luck!
Reply:Colors: go to the paint department and pick a shade of periwinkle that is the color you like. Then, start looking for colors that you also like and see which looks best with it. That's the easiest way. And if you still can't decide, stay safe with the black, white and silver. It's very weddingy, sophisticated and will be quite elegant.

Dress: look for dresses with a drop waist. It's the way to go for us plus-sized gals! Go try on dresses. It may take a couple of Saturdays (full, hard days - take bottles of water with you), but the only way you're going to find "your" dress is to try some on. You'll know "the" one when you see it.

Flowers: periwinkle is a flower also.... If it's in season, go with white flowers and sprigs of the periwinkle sprinkled in, or go with white roses and do the ribbons in your periwinkle. Or, go with the accent color you choose along with white and use the periwinkle for the ribbons as well.

Hang tough, gal - you'll make all the right decisions and it will be beautiful!
Reply:I bought my wedding dress off of ebay and I am a plus size girl too it was amazing I could have any dress I wanted as the company made it to fit me! I also had a periwinkle type colour we matched it with Alfred Angelo's lettuce green. (its like a pastel sage colour) feel free to email me I will send you pics.the company I got my wedding dress from was called giannabridal on ebay.(my dress cost me 320 including alterations, crinoline , shipping and my daughters flowergirl dress was in that price too) I was measured by my sis who had never measured anyone for a dress before it fit when I got it but, i decided to remove sleeves and have a few other things done to personalize it bustle etc.
Reply:Congrats on your engagement!! Silver, black, and pink go well with periwinkle. As for the dress. If you haven't looked at David's Bridal I would highly suggest looking through on of their magazines. Their dresses are gorgious and they are having a $99 sale right now. Almost all of their dresses can be ordered in plus sizes. Whatever you decide to do to worry!! You will find the perfect dress and your day will be magical. Best of Luck.
Reply:oh so being plus size maybe hard but ur still pretty my aunt thought she wasnt and had sugery she never came back just do me a favor and please dont have any surgery u dont need to be a size 1 to be pretty here is sight wiht dresses u might not like but u should look

Reply:Girl I know what you mean!

As for the dress, Aurora D'Paradiso has the most amazing plus size dresses. I have already ordered mine even though my wedding isn't until 2008. I absolutely love them! You can also try Sydney's Closet, Bonny, and Katherine La'Croix. They have a wide variety of dresses.

The colors already suggested would be great, or you could do what I did. Go to the local paint shop and find the EXACT color you want and start compairing them until the one you love jumps out at you. I just went to the paint dept at K-mart. No one bothered me and I was able to compaired to my hearts content.

I have listed a few websites starting with dresses and the some wedding planning sites. These have been VERY helpful to me and I hope they help you.

God Bless
Reply:Personally, I think that silver would be a good accompanimate. Being a wedding/bridal consultant, I have had several brides that have the problems that you are having. With periwinkle, metalic colors are perfect. Oranges tend to "drown out" the calming effect of periwinkle. It confuses the guests as to what your trying to produce. If I can be of any service please feel free to email me.

Reply:periwinkle is a great colour.. it goes really well with dark lavendar, a grey-beige and french navy.. flowers that would look great with these colours are daisies, lavendar or roses in light purples and whites.. the best thing to do is go round trying dresses on because i bet you find something you fall in love with when you try it on even if you arent happy with your body (just remember though curves are sexy!).. go shopping with an open mind and try on as much as you can so you get a good idea of what styles suit you (it might look awful on the hanger but great on).. plus with all that shopping and changing your bound to drop the pounds! have a lovely wedding and i wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness x
Reply:i didnt know what kind of dress i wanted so what i did was rip out every dress i thought was nice from the magazine and pasted it onto a big board. i narrowed it down to a thought of what it might look like that i would like to wear. i went to davids bridal and i just went in there to try on different dresses, regardless if i liked it or not. i just wanted to see what styles i was leaning towards.

re: the colors

maybe you can compliment it with white, blue, orange.

flowers can be something simple like orange daises or orange orchids with a white table top, white seat covers and the lace on the seat can be periwinkle.

For the flowers: this is a hard color to find unless you go with faux flowers. My suggestion would be to have the girls wearing the periwinkle color, and then have them carrying flowers in your complimentary color (light pink, for example) with a few periwinkle accents - you could use jewel picks, ribbon, etc for the accents. Talk to your florist for more ideas as well.

For your dress, you could try sites like http://chryscrossbridal.com were you can get your dress custom made to fit, but don't stress about it to much. Sometimes it takes a while to find 'the one"

How long should my bridal march music be?

I want to use the instrumental version of Bitter Sweet Symphony to walk down the aisle to, but it is about 3 minutes long. Is this too long? There is only one bride's maid plus the flower girl, so can they just walk down to the same music since it is so long?

How long should my bridal march music be?
Yes, they can walk down the isle to the same music. If you have a decent sound set up, who ever is running it can always "fade" the music when you reach the alter.
Reply:You can also have your parents walk down
Reply:You can definitely have your wedding party all walk down to the same music. You can also have a shortened version of this symphony played just for you when you walk down the aisle. Professional musicians know how to make cuts in music that will allow it to sound just right.

What are some good sites for silk bridal bouquets?

What are some good sites for silk bridal bouquets?
If you make your own, which is what I would do, Michael's has 40% off coupons every Sunday in the papers. This will help on cost.

Whatever you use try to use something that will fit into your home somewhere. Then you will enjoy it longer and get double the use.

Congratulations.

Any opinions on Honeystone Flowers Incorporated in Grand Rapids, MI?

I am looking for a florist to handle my wedding flowers next August and was most impressed with Honeystone Flowers at the recent Bridal Show at the DeVos center. Does anyone have a personal experience with them?

Any opinions on Honeystone Flowers Incorporated in Grand Rapids, MI?
Honeystone did flowers for a black tie business affair that I put together for 170 people. They were amazing to work with, and I still hear compliments on the flowers 10 months later. I would ceratinly use them again.

Where can i find a fake wedding cake to rent? You know the cakes you see at bridal shows or flower shops??
Ask at any wedding supply store. If they don't rent the cake themselves, they'll be able to direct you to someone who does rentals.

I know renting *sounds* a bit odd, but it is very practical. When I married back in 1979, my Mom baked the fruit cake. We cut it up ahead of time and wrapped the pieces in Saran Wrap, added a doily, a ribbon and a little thank you note. Rather than fiddle around during the ceremony hacking up some cake, we just handed out the pre-wrapped pieces. Worked great!
Reply:Why not contact the bakeries and flower shops in your area that have these display cakes and ask if you can rent one of theirs since it's only for a couple of days?

They usually have so many I'm sure you could find a place that would like a little extra cash for something they aren't doing anything with and will get right back.

Good Luck!

Bridal Party Flower Question?

I am getting married in April of this year. My bridesmaids dress color is red. We picked this color becasue my fiancee is a fireman. Does anyone have any ideas of inexpensive floral arrangements we can get for the bridesmaids. Ex: type of flowers to use, colors, etc..

Bridal Party Flower Question?
Here are some ideas for you. I would recommend using other colors with the red so they don't get "lost" against the red of the dress.

Any bouqete that you find can be altered by your florist. Using flowers that are in season in April will reduce your cost greatly. Bring pictures of bouqetes that you like *style and color* to your florist and they can help you create it even if they have to use different flowers than the original.
Reply:You are so welcome:) Report It

Reply:You could go to your local craft store and get some silk flowers. I would get red and white flowers and maybe coordinate some ribbons to go with them.
Reply:Gerber Daisies come in great bright colors, some red, some orange-y and yellow, they are beautiful and the best part is they look good on their own- no need to combine other flowers- or even in fairly small bunches. Tulips are also nice too and not expensive.
Reply:white callic lillies. They are big and you dont need as many. White will accent your dress as well. On your arrangements have a red ribbon tied around them to accent their dresses.
Reply:pink or white flowers..no red it would be too much red I think..and also look into silk flowers if you are on a budget..thats what I'm using. Congrats!!
Reply:I used cala lillies and they looked very elegant in pictures. My maid of honor had two and each bridesmaid had one. It sounds a little minimalistic, but it photographed wonderfully.

Reply:well roses and carnations are probably more expensive so I can't really thinkg of a type of flower. You can try visiting a flower arrangement store and checking out just the types of flowers not the colors. The colors would depend on what color red. Like a deep red or a light red. I think white would go really nicely with the dress no matter what color red. But if you don't want white I'd try some color "relatives" of red, like a dark pink or any different hues of pink with some white mixed in.best wishes.
Reply:Red lillies would be a great choice or you could play up the or you could use the glory lilly that actually looks like flames.
Reply:white roses with the tips in red or pink..
Reply:white daisies! i think that'd go perfectly with red dresses
Reply:This lady has AMAZING work. you could go to hobby lobby or micheals and get the flowers and find a cheap book to find how to make them. there is no harm in trying them first before you make all of them. GOOD LUCK!!!

Who are the components of the bridal attendats in every typical wedding?

I mean i recognise there must be the best man, best lady, flower girls? but then who else ?and does any one know the ideal ages for the kids involved

Who are the components of the bridal attendats in every typical wedding?
Groom Bride

Best man Maid of Honor

Groomsmen Bridesmaid however many you want

ring bearer flowergirl
Reply:heres how its gonna work in my wedding next year.

bride and groom

matron of honor and best man

3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen

2 flower girls (2 and 7 years old) and a ring bearer (3 years old)

probably 4 ushers to seat the guests

we are thinking about having some read a poem

and usually your father will walk you down the aisle but since mine is not around, my 12 year old nephew will be walking me

hope this helps.
Reply:Maid of honor/ Best man- your closest friend/relative

Bridesmaid/ Groomsmen- second in "command" also close friend/relative (there could be as many as you'd like)

Junior Bridesmaid- usually a teenage relative

Ushers- relative/friend who seats your guests before the ceremony.

Flower girl/ Ring bearer- under the age of 10 usually
Reply:Page boy (he holds the rings) miniture bride....dresses exactly like a bride. about 3-7 years old inboth.
Reply:Best Man and Maid or Matron of Honor

Equal number of Best Man and Bridesmaid

Flowergirl (some people have one or two, typically 5-10 yrs old)

Ringbearer (a boy, maybe 5-8 yrs. old)

The groom's parents will likely walk down the aisle together. The bride's dad will walk her down, so you'll need to find someone to walk down the bride's mom.
Reply:You can other bridesmaids, groomsman, a couple of ushers and hosstess.
Reply:There doesnt HAVE to be anyone with you if you dont want.

Typically in an american wedding there is a Best Man, maid of Honor, maybe 3-7 bridesmaids and groomsmen, a flower girl and a ring bearer.

In a typical Mexican wedding we have the Best Man, Maid of Honor, Godparents of Honor, Godparents of coins, of rings, of Bible and Rosary, of Lazo (I dont know how to say that in english), of flower bouquet for the Virgin, of favors. We may have a few bridesmaids and groomsmen, but I havent seen that too much anymore.

How much does the average bridal bouquet cost?

I'm attempting to plan a wedding, and I know the price range is going to be widely vaired according to which flowers I use, but I want to get some idea as to how much I'll be spendiing on the bride's bouquet.

How much does the average bridal bouquet cost?
I am a wedding florist and the average bridal bouquet usually runs between $80-$150. Of course it all depends on what flowers you want and the season of your wedding, but this is an average range for most weddings. Anything over $150 will use specialty blooms like Orchids, Callas, or tropicals. Keep in mind that some flowers like Stephenotis are considered traditional wedding flowers and therefore many florists know that they can hike up the price for them since they are in such high demand. A good florist will take your set budget and work with it. Also, search your local area for private designers, like myself, who do not have a storefront. Most of the time you end up with more custom and attentive service with them. Talk to your other vedors and ask them if they know anyone who has this type of business in your area.

Good luck!
Reply:You can spend as little or as much as you want. Tell the florist a price range, they can work with you. Mine cost around $65 dollars for 1 1/2 dozen roses %26amp; a few other accent flowers.
Reply:You can go with silk (or "true touch") flowers for about $35 per bouquet up to the sky. It all depends on the flowers that you choose and whether they are silk or real. Check out the website I put up below. This is the on-line presence for Hobby Lobby. The "true touch" flowers really do look and feel real.

Hope this helps.
Reply:It depends on the types of flowers you will use and the size of the bouquet!
Reply:+ or -100$ (in so-cal, if that makes a difference...)

What is a creative way for my Bridal Party to walk down the aisle? We're having a church wedding?

I want my wedding to be creative. What is a creative way for my bridal party to walk down the aisle? I don't want all of them to just walk down, I want them to do something. Maybe the GM meet the BM half way, or come down a different aisle. 6 BM, 6GM. Something...not sure. Also..during the ceremony I want to honor our parents some how..should we give them flowers, do some type of vow...???? Help

What is a creative way for my Bridal Party to walk down the aisle? We're having a church wedding?
I dont know about the walking down the aisle part (I only had 2 on each side)... but for the parents you coud do something that I wish I would have... you can have the person doing the ceremony say "Do you Mr. and Mrs. Grooms Parents, accept Bride into your family?" and visa versa... it's a cool idea and at the time I totaly forgot to put it into our wedding. Good luck!
Reply:You mentioned a different aisle, so I assuming there are two aisles? How 'bout having them come in pairs (1 bm/1gm) down each aisle simultaneously (a pair on 1 aisle and a pair on the other aisle). When they get to the front they will move toward the center of the alter and can place a yellow rose to symbolize their friendship and involvement in your ceremony then move to their line (either bride's side or groom's side) Let me see if I can draw a demonstration:

They will come down each aisle in pairs...two pairs at a time:

XX XX

XX XX

XX XX

Then they will come to the center:

XX XX

Place a yellow rose in a centerpiece vase at the alter :

Then move to their line:

XXXXXX XXXXXX
Reply:We had our attendants walk in as couples ahead of my husband and me - it was different and also quite nice. The time to recognize the parents is at the reception program, not the ceremony.
Reply:why not have each BM and GM have a parent in the midle of them and walk down the aisle.

or have the GM escort the parents to the first row of the pews then have the BM follow and give each of them some flowers and a little gift or something.

you could have them do this all at once - some down the middle aisle and others down the left and right of the church aisles.
Reply:At my sisters wedding we danced on the way out, you could have them dance on the way in. It was really fun and a nice change! Of course there could be those who can't dance! One of the best ways to honor your parents would be to make a toast to them after the ceremony.

Have any ideas for beautiful, simple bridal shower flower arrangements?

I'm hosting my sister's bridal shower in March. I have a cute idea of using tall thin glass vases, lining them with wide green leaves and placing one or two simple green and pink roses or daisies in each one. Have you seen a really cute, simple flower decoration that you liked? I would really appreciate some other ideas. Pictures and/or links would be greatly appreciated.

Have any ideas for beautiful, simple bridal shower flower arrangements?
I love your idea. Check out www.theknot.com. They have TONS of pictures of flower arrangements, from simple to extravagant. They also have a section for bridesmaids/maids of honor that is really helpful for planning a shower.

Another arrangement I saw that was beautiful and simple was a tall, thin glass vase with a single stem of flowers in it, filled to the top with water (with the flower submerged in the water), and a floating candle on top. It was very simple yet beautiful and elegant.
Reply:Your idea is nice. My only suggestion would be to not make the arrangements too tall. It's quite annoying when you're talking to the person sitting across from you yet you can't see them because of the center piece.
Reply:I have always liked the idea of using crystal as vases. You can group several of varying sizes or styles together on a table with a single blossom or just a few. Martha Stewart magazine has always given me such good ideas. You could check her website. Champagne flutes, apertif and wine goblets, old glass bottles were often tall and age in subtle shades of aqua and blue. Or you can get tall thin glasses at a hobby store.

I don't know what part of the country you live in, but there are some very nice lacey things that grow as wildflowers that could be used. Queen Anne's Lace is nice, and a walk through the early spring woods might give you some ideas. Bridal Wreath (spyria?) would be nice, as well as wild almond.

Good luck. I am sure it will be beautiful.
Reply:At my niece's bridal shower, the maid of honor used mason jars, with a piece of printed material torn into strips and glued this around the top of the jar. Over this, she tied a piece of raffia into a bow. She filled each jar with wild flowers. They were very inexpensive and looked so cute. Everyone got to take one home with them. I still use mine as a vase.
Reply:Maybe just stick a single rose in each. It's simple and yet fairly elegant.
Reply:Go to weddingchannel.com or the knot.com they have tons of pictures.
Reply:http://www.floral-box-supply.com/article...

I thought that link had a cute idea.

What is she using as a main flower for her wedding? You may want to coordinate that but only use a single flower in each vase, or you can buy white roses and put some food coloring in a spray bottle and spritz the roses different colors. Or do a cookie on a stick in the vases so it's a favor and a decoration.
