If you decide to dry the flowers use silica gel. It's reusable. I have a woman who does this professionally. She takes the bride's bouquet %26amp; makes a beautful framed arrangement with the flowers.
Reply:my niece kept every flower her boyfriend ever sent her. The were

dry of course.....but she used them to carry.....talk about flowers that were meaningful..............Everyone thought it was great !

When I married everyone carried a single rose with ribbons including me. Never regretted it.
Reply:Start by making only one of each. I.E. make one bridesmaid group, etc.

Go to Hobby Lobby/Micheal's, if you live in the US. They usually have sales a few times each month/every few months where they put flowers on sale. We purchased our flowers for less than $100!!

Go through magazines, books, and websites and find the design that you want. When you go to the store, look at your options and see what works.

Also, don't forget about the boutonnieres! And be sure to buy ribbon!
Reply:Silk flowers are such a hassle, don't look real and are sometimes a lot more expensive than real flowers. Try looking up a local flower wholesale store...they supply those people you might see in the city who sell flowers. The 3 bridesmaids will only need 4-5 callas each and can be tied with ribbon (those are the easiest). Make sure you realy want to have a cascade because those are very expensive to make, fake or real...they require a great deal of flowers and time. If you are a smaller woman and depending on the style of your dress, a cascade might not be a good idea.
Reply:You will need floral tape and wire for the nosegays. I recommend white tape and 24 gauge or thinner wire. When you choose the silk flowers, gather them as if they are the bouquet to get your idea of size. Also get whatever ribbon or lace you want to trim them with.

I also recommend practicing a bit before using the blooms chosen as best, though with silks you can always redo without much damage to the flowers as long as you keep your hands clean.

Wrap stems onto a wire with the floral tape twisting down 1 1/2 to 2 inches. As you begin to assemble, use the floral tape to hold together and separate the stems which can be adjusted to whatever form you want because of the wire. And when you have the arrangement you like, that clump of taped wire can then be shaped into a handle.

As for table arrangements I would try to keep them low (not too tall) so they don't block guests accessibility to share. A platter or dish with a small spray anchored in the center, then surrounded with glass marbles is attractive and inexpensive.

There are just so many options I hope this makes some sense to you. I am new to the internet, but have callouses from making flowers into nosegays, boutonnieres, and table, aisle, and cake arrangements.

Have fun whatever you do. And I hope you the happiest of days for your wedding!

Mine wouldn't let me use silk flowers.

Reply:I did everything to make my own. First you need to decide what you want each bouquet and centerpiece to look like. I'm sure you already have an idea. And your supplies will vary depending on your plan but you'll most likely need some floral tape and ribbon. Since you're using silk flowers you might start off with a plastic bouquet handle that you find at a craft sore, and it's has styrofoam inside and you cut your flower stems to length and put them in the styrofoam. I wish I could give you more details, but feel free to email me some pictures of what you want and I'll see if I can pinpoint something more specific. rdnkchic2003@yahoo.com.
Reply:Try your wedding company. This site has instruction on how to make different kind of decorations for your wedding. What you ca do also is try searching on google or any other search engine.
Reply:Check with a professional florist, its not as much as you think and it will look great and you won't have to worry about it.
