AUSTRALIANS ONLY - Bridal table?

Does anyone have any good ideas for a bridal table centrepeice?





My bridal table will be 4 metres long and have 8 people sitting at it.





My guest tables will have a tall vase with black fish swimming inside it.





My theme is black and white.





I dont want to use flowers because everyone has flowers - I want something different.





I looked at getting an ice sculpture done - but it was way too expensive for me.





Any ideas would be wonderful.

Wow very similar to ours! Our theme is black %26amp; white also %26amp; we are having fighting fish in seperate vases along the table. Instead of an ice sculpture, we are using a chocolate fondu fountain with fruit around the bottom of it ;o)

Reply:I love the idea of using the fish as table decorations, how original :) I know your said you wern't keen on flowers but what about leaves or some other sort of greenery, Ivy perhaps or even Eucalyptus leaves.
Reply:Maybe try a large black or white candleabra with black and/or white candles? The candleabra could have some pretty jewels or something on it too. I know it's not very original, but could turn out nice. Or maybe a glass bowl/vase and fill up with black and white sand or pebbles etc. I really like the black fish idea, you can always just have a bigger or different shaped vase with a ribbon or something around it for the bridal table.
Reply:How about fancy figurines in tuxes and white wedding dress or candles in long skinny vases with small black pebbles in the vase so the white candle and black pebbles offset each other!

um... this is pretty vague but what about a nice statue, obviously something that appeals to you and have it painted in the colour if your theme. You could get a statue from a garden shop, nursery or something.
