Bridal Bouquet - Is there a specific season for calalillys?

I want to use burnt orange calalillys for my bridesmaids bouquets. My wedding is in October.... Will these flowers be in season? Do they have a season? Thanks!

Bridal Bouquet - Is there a specific season for calalillys?
Calla lilies don’t really have an association with a particular season. You will find that the brightly colored mini callas (pink, yellow, lavender) are more popular in the Spring and Summer, and the large white and darker colored calla lilies (orange, purple, black/deep purple) are more popular in Fall and Winter.

Hope this helps!
Reply:Check with your florist. I had wanted and planned for having white calas for a July wedding, but the florist couldn't 'guarantee' that she could get them. Obviously, we went with something else!
Reply:i think that would be great and even if they are not in season where you are at you can always get them shipped from somewhere people tend to bend over backwards for weddings.

i groe callas myself mine just finished blooming but i live in the southwest u.s so i guess it depends where you live
Reply:Actually calla lilies DO have a season, but using burnt orange ones for an October wedding is actually quite pretty and tasteful.

The season for calla lilies varies really, it depends on the variety you're looking for, but I do know that white ones are usually in the spring and summer. Nurseries and floral shops tend to grow them year round, but once again it depends on the variety. They may cost a bit more because your wedding isn't in summer, but as far as fitting in with the season, you'll be fine.
Reply:I'm having calla lillies too, either the dark purple or the orange. maybe both. I love their shape.

Proud's right. There really isn't a season for them and they are about the same price all year round (with the exception of holidays like Valentines or Mother's Day) it's just the lighter colors are in fashion earlier in the year and the darker ones are more popular later in the year....obviously because the color choices of brides tend to fit with the season the flowers follow suit.
