Flowers to be used?
What color will the bridesmaids be wearing? What does the church look like? What flowers do you love? Dislike? Do you want a classic all-white bouquet or something bright and colorful? One flower? A nosegay? A cascade? A sheaf?

Each of these factors will help determine the right flowers for you. For instance, roses work for all of these shapes and styles, but gerbera daisies work best as a nosegay and gladiolus is best either as a sheaf or a single bloom.

Roses are always classic for weddings, but you may carry any sort of flower you like from daisies to lilies to orchids to hydrangea to bird of paradise to wildflowers.

Think about the colors you are using in your wedding and the shape of bouquet you'd like to carry. Think about the flowers you like best. Think about what's in bloom at the time of year you're marrying (you can get pretty much anything any time of year, but choosing something that's naturally blooming around your wedding date will save you a lot of money - especially if you want fairly elaborate bouquets). Then talk to a florist and see what you can get on your budget for flowers.

Somewhere you'll find a decent intersection of all these factors and that's where you will find your wedding flowers.

ETA: if you want colorful, it's hard to go wrong with gerbera daisies. They come in lots of vibrant colors. Also, if you're talking about floating a few blooms in a piscene, their large, flat heads will float beautifully. Roses also come in a wide variety of colors and their petal float nicely, as would a fully opened blossom. Carnations are another good choice, both for color variety and floating potential.
Reply:You could either use Lillies one or an entire bouquet. Or you could use a single red rose.
Reply:Roses, cala lillies, delphiniums or even daisies are pretty depending on what your wedding colors are and if you want to incorporate them into your bouquet.

Reply:I like lilies would look beautiful. They look really elegant too.
Reply:A single calla lily nestled into the crook of your arm. Tie a silk ribbon around the stem.
