Where is the best store to buy an inexpensive flower girl dress?

Flower girl dresses from bridal stores are sooo freakin' expensive :( I was hoping to spend less than $50.

I thought now would be the perfect time, since the easter dresses are all on sale. But everytime I look, the dress is either the wrong color (I want light blue) or too casual.

Any suggestions? I live in Ohio, and would prefer not to order online since my wedding is the last week of April.

Where is the best store to buy an inexpensive flower girl dress?
Ebay is a great source for cheap stuff.

Also, try this website. There are a bunch!

Reply:OK , there are stores that sell "barely Used" bridal dresses. I live in a hick town, but I know there is a bigger world out there.
Reply:So I don't know where in Ohio you live, but I know the outlet malls have several kids' clothing stores. I can't promise they would have anything, so dont' go out of your way to get there (unless you need to go shopping anyway!!) but it's worth a look! You might have a hard time finding the right blue color, but if you wanted to go with white and go to JoAnn's or something and find the right blue material you could make a sash or bow to help bring it together. Good luck and congratulations!!!
Reply:Have you tried David's Bridal? I know that they can have some inexpensive dresses. Here are some other places you can look:

Gently used children's clothing store

Consignment Shop

Department Stores (JC Penny, Sears, etc)

Local seamstress may be able to create it for you

Wal Mart has cute kids formal dresses

Craigslist

Ebay (search in your area, you don't necessarily have to buy online)

Newspaper classifieds

That's all I can think of for now, good luck!
Reply:i don't know if there is a burlington coat factory around you but i bought my flower girl dress from there for about $25. you could also get a white dress and put a blue sash around it and tie a cute little bow in the back.
Reply:I know you said you would prefer NOT to order online but i thought this was cute! and great price.

good luck and all the best for the wedding....
Reply:Fletcher's half the price of David's bridal
Reply:Try JcPennys, Sears, Target, Walmart even has some at mine they do. MY FMIL is making mine for us so it won't be a problem. Maybe have them made for you.
Reply:I see your trying to buy local but thought you might want to check out this site. My daughter just worn a dress we ordered on-line $35 :-) from Zone4Kids. She wore a light blue dress from Lito and it was perfect. The bodice had pearls and the sash had a flower. It was in their Easter/Spring Holiday Dresses section so I think you're on the right track to be on the look out now. Check them out at http://www.zone4kids.com/
Reply:My daughter picked a dress out for her flower girl from JC PENNY online. It was $32.!! When they flower girl's mom ordered it, it had been reduced to $25.!!! My daughter felt the same way. She didn't want boo- coo bucks spent on a toddler's dress. Well, this dress is PERFECT! Perfect color, beautiful.... the wedding is in the Fall this year. No one will ever know, (not that we care) and lets face it...a little girl can't be anything else but adorable in any dress! And I'm sure her parents are feeling great about the price. My daughter's wedding is costing a bundle...(we live in NJ) and this dress will "fit in" just like everyone else's but for a lot less!

Good luck! Enjoy your day!
Reply:Macy's has some on sale right now 1/2 off. You can also buy one used ...check out garage sales or post an ad on craigslist.com
Reply:It's hard to find light blue girls dresses. I had the same problem a few years ago. I ended up with white and pink. Keep looking. Since you are in such a time crunch you may have to spend a little bit more. Good Luck.

Try all the major dept. stores next week.

Reply:Plenty of really pretty and not overpriced dresses can be found in many of larger department stores, especially during the Easter/spring season. There are also dresses for little girls for May procession ceremonies and 1st communion.

Another idea, is a consignment shop for pageant dresses or a good quality kids consignment shop. Little girls with flowers in their hair, ballet slippers and carrying a basket of petals is adorable in almost anything. Keep searching, you will find the right dress for the right price.

Good luck and congrats.
