Has anyone shopped at davids bridal?
I think it just depends. I was looking for bridesmaid dresses and one of the women working there was very rude to me, but I talked to a few of them that were very friendly. So when we got fitted for bridesmaid dresses I requested not to work with that specific lady. The people I actually worked with were super nice and treated me very well. I would do it all over again if I had the opportunity. They are very reasonable on prices too! It helps when you purchase your dress you get so much percentage off on all kinds of things like 40% off on invitations which helps a lot. I didnt know they did flowers but I would ask to see some before ordering so you know what u are getting!! GOOD LUCK!
Reply:I got my wedding gown from David's Bridal for my wedding in September 2007. My experience was great and the price was also.
Reply:I am in NY, but I shopped there and got my dress and all my bridesmaids dresses there. I had a great experience, there was a great sleection and everyone treated us great. The store i shopped at did not sell flowers there.
Reply:I got my dress and bridesmaids dresses and I had good service this was at the Riverside, CA store.
Reply:My experience at David's Bridal was as a brides maid. It was not good. I did not like the service at all. They made the bride pay for a garment bag not to mention every little thing.

When I decided to get married I used a local wedding store. The service was Fantastic!!

That's my story.
Reply:Gorgeous dresses, they put you in a bigger size than you need and rip you off on the alterations.
Reply:I had a good experience at Davids but I did not buy my dress there. When I got married there was a cool website (that is now defunct) that would let you put in the davids style number and find you a better quality dress. The prices ended up being just the same. I urge you to go to davids but to also go to a bridal shop so that you can feel the difference in the qualily of dress you are getting for your money. Some bridal shops also throw in your headpiece and vail which is going to cost you at Davids.
Reply:I shopped at David's for my bridesmaids dresses. I did not get my wedding dress there. My experience is that the wedding dresses there are unfinished and since the store is browsed in everyday, they are a little uncared for. You can get some accessories there, shoes which can be dyed to match whatever color you desire and some music CDs. If you buy bridesmaids dresses though, buy them all at the same time. Sometimes, David's changes the color slightly in different dye lots, and the last thing you want is different colors if you are going for matching ensembles. There are no flowers sold there, although I'm sure that other vendors leave their information there for brides to check out.
Reply:i got my dress there and my bridesmaids got there dresses there too. i had great service, the dresses came in in plenty of time. i think it is the person you deal with rather than the company. my consultant was great she called me and helped me with everything, even when i came back in to pick out bridesmaids dresses. i am pretty controlling about how i like things and she was great. on the other hand my friend was there getting a dress the same day i was her consultant was really nice the day she got her dress but when she went back to get bridesmaids dresses she was much help, and acted like she could careless f they were there or not. needless to say she didnt get her bridesmaids dresses from there. i have never heard of getting your flowers from there, just dresses, invitations and stuff like that.
Reply:It's cheap, and they have a reasonable selection. However, their customer service is awful, and it felt like a used car lot at times. I wouldn't get your flowers or anything else there, but if you know what you want for your dress, you can get in and get out without too much strain on your wallet.
Reply:no
Reply:I had a good experience at David's Bridal. I got my dress, bridesmaid dresses, jr. bridesmaid and flower girls dresses all there. I will say a lot has to do with having a good consultant and knowing how things work beforehand. I found that if I was there on a weekend an appointment was a must but during the week I was able to show up without one. I recommend making an appointment though to be sure. I liked the fact that they have the same dress in different sizes so you can see how it really looks. Many bridal shops in my area carried many dresses but all in the same size making it hard for me to see how it really fit!

Also, the david's here do not sell flowers.
Reply:The good reports on this thread are the first good reports I've ever heard about them. My experience wasnt that great with them either and be SURE to make sure they give you the right stuff. The lady copied the style number off the tag, I stood there and watched her do it, we got the wrong color bows anyway.

I hope you have a better experience than most.
Reply:david's bridal does flowers? i don't think they do. i went there and they were very rude and very expensive. they were no help at all.
Reply:I bought my wedding and bridesmaid dresses from David's. I think it's all about the particular store and consultant you have. I went to 2 different stores in my area, and had a great consultant at one that I went back to - several times in fact! She was wonderful, very down to business, and got me what I needed. She ordered my dress as a rush (unknown to me at no extra charge) because she knew I was wavering between white and ivory, and she wanted me to have time to change my mind and get a new dress. She was wonderful with my maid of honor and mother as well. She even mailed me a congratulations on your wedding card the week of my wedding. They do have a lot of staff turn over though, so be prepared to get someone inexperienced.
Reply:the one here in philly sucks too. they have ok prices poor quality and awful service!!! I hated them!!!!
Reply:I didn't do flowers there, but i can't imagine they would be any less than the best... my sister, a few friends, and i have all used them... they have the most incredible service... i shopped at over 20 bridal stores, and no one even got close to David's bridal in selection, cost, or service... i couldn't believe how helpful and knowledgeable they were...
Reply:David's bridal is terrible...

1. The consultant's are different everytime you go there. I went there two different times. Made an appointment with my consultant and guess what she did not work there anymore. Got a new consultant, called again, guess what, she's didn't work there again.

2. The cost of alterations are expensive there too!

3. You do not get personal attention. Brides everywhere!!!

4. They bug you to death, via phone or email.

If I were you I would find a bridal store that can cater to you and you only. Dont go for the chain name stores!!

Good luck
Reply:My sister shopped there for her wedding and I have to say the service sucks! She just used them for the dresses not flowers.
Reply:I got my wedding dress from a David's Bridal in Brea, California three years ago. I was satisfied with my experience and the dresses are reasonably priced. The employees that I dealt with were not very friendly, but I've heard that is common for David's Bridal.

I did not get my flowers there, however. I used a small floral shop in the city of La Habra.
Reply:I don't think they have flowers. The ones I've been to the people are very friendly. Just know they'll ask for your phone number and call you often with friendly reminders. That kind of got on my nerves because I didn' t need someone to remind me I was getting married and therefore had to order my dress. They have a nice selection though. Have fun shopping!!!
Reply:i shopped a david's bridal for my dress and my bridesmaids dressess. i had a great consulant and the prices were reasonable. yes they do have flowers but let me sugguset that you browse around at other places i am sure you can find some that are cheaper, and good luck
Reply:They pretty much suck here in Michigan too. I would never have went there, but the bride insisted. She regrets it now!! They were very rude to her. They would not alter her dress, and they would not steam it either because she could not find her original receipt. It was a bad experience all in all. Sorry.
Reply:I got my gown and most of my bridesmaids dresses there. I didn't mind them. I think my attendant was a little to uppity for my taste but they went above and beyond to help me. I didn't get anything there but the dresses
Reply:I have gotten bridesmaids dresses at David's bridal several times. I'm in a wedding in August and the bride picked out a green dress, i'm in another wedding in october and the pride picked the exact same dress but it is purple. THEN i'm attending a wedding in july and the bridesmaids are wearing that exact same dress but in pink.

so, i would suggest not going there because everyone does.

also, if you do go to david's bridal don't buy the shoes there... the matching dresses that i bought were only 150 but then the bride picked out 50 dollar shoes for us to wear, i thought that was unnecessary.
Reply:I shopped around at one in Hattiesburg, MS and thought that everyone was pretty rude. I did not have an appointment. I have a good friend who used them for her wedding. Her overall experience with them was pretty awful. They told her that they could match the dresses she chose with tuxes, but in the end couldn't deliver a reasonable match. I would try to find a privately owned retailer.
Reply:I've had to get a few bridesmaid dresses from there before. My cousin got her dress from there and they seemed to be really helpful w/ fitting the dress, getting it altered etc... I'm not sure about flowers b/c I don't know anyone who has gotten flowers from there before
Reply:Service sucks there....stay away. I did not have good experience there they were really really rude.
