Here are some thoughts for you.....

Introduce another color in to your scheme with your flowers. If you put too much blue in them, they will not match your shade of blue and will not look as nice as you would like. I'd even stay away from too much purple. Blue based purples will look nicer used as accent colors in smaller quantities, again so that it doesn't look like you are trying to match and therefore overpower with the blue.

If you don't want to settle for one basic color for your flowers, try a 'wildflower' look of multiple colored flowers put together. You'll have yellows, pinks, reds, purples, white all put together for a fresh spring look.

Go to a local florist and look through their books. Most will have not only the commercial books from FTD and other companies, but a lot will have pics of their own work too.

Sometimes knowing what you don't like or want is as important as knowing what you do want. Go through some websites and write down the names and colors of flowers you really dislike and take them with you to your florist of choice. I used to work as a floral assistant ane believe me it was nice to know what not to put in the arrangements. That's exactly what I did and they really appreciated it.

A good florist will work with you on size and price. So if you see something you like, but need it tweaked, speak up they can do it!

Good Luck
Reply:The one you show is a pretty bouquet, but for me that would be way too much blue. I think it would look prettier with a bouquet of mixed types of flowers and a variety of nice colours.
Reply:cali lillies
Reply:Gorgeous dress!!! Flower suggestion is very nice too. Maybe too co-ordinated though. What about white daisies or purple lilacs. Any other colors incorporated within the wedding??

Reply:roses

i luv the dress
Reply:I think the bouquet you posted will be perfect. Good luck to you.
Reply:to highlight the blue in the dress i would have irises. for the white maybe look into double impatients if you want a smaller flower.
Reply:i think that maybe you should use a white rose and maybe even some pink roses well that's just my thought i hope your weeding is filled with joy and happiness
Reply:calla lilies, orchids are expensive. what time of year is your wedding? tulips are in season for a while and are lower cost. roses are always an option. different types of daisies can work also. bunches of carnations (lots of them!) can look striking instead of cheesy when done in abundance, and super cheap. good luck!
Reply:I just want to say that your dress..is..GORGEOUS! And the blue looks stunning! It's so unique!

Anyway. What you could do is just run an image search. I ran one and thought http://www.wedideas.com/Bouquets/Color/B... was really pretty.

My cousin bought a ton of bridal magazines and picked out her bouqets from there. She just tore out the picture and gave it to the florist. They turned out lovely.

Much luck and happiness to you. :)
Reply:the same color blue...maybe? i mean black wouldn't look right and it's only black and blue so i would go with blue.
Reply:i think a rose will do or a white thing
Reply:White lilies or orchids (the orchids are more costly) and blue roses. Your gown is gorgeous! I wish you the best of luck in your marriage.
Reply:What time of year is your wedding? I suggest going on theknot.com and browsing the "real wedding section". You can actually filter it down to only see wedding with the color blue. Pretty cool.

If it is spring, I have seen pics where they used an assortment of hydrangeas in different shades of blues and cream. It was very pretty. I also have seen blues and pale yellow hues in the spring. You have to be careful about the shading though because you want it to be soft and not primary colors.
Reply:These could be for your bridesmaid bouquet, there's

Nosegay of grape hyacinth, pansies and small galex leaves

grape hyacinth encircled with sweet pea and tied with blue satin and organza ribbons, echoes the theme

Make sure you test the flowers with your husband to be, some flowers are very strong like the grape hyacinth but very beautiful. You can had more of a white flower to your bouquet (calla lilly, orchid, rose, sweet pea or gardenias)

I think your dresses are sooooo beautiful and unique. You've covered the something blue category. Your flower sample looks very nice too, but talk to your florist. I spent close to 5,000 on my flowers, tables, cocktail hour, ceremony and family members. I truly love unique arrangements so maybe you can get a better idea of which flowers are more affordable and will handle the entire day. I kept wanting jasmine in my bouquet but the florist was really difficult.
