Bridesmaids dress colors and wedding color theme.?

I having trouble choosing my wedding colors. My wedding is in Oct. I originally wanted to do a fall leaf theme. I want to put fake fall leaves on the tables and on my wedding cake. I found a bouquet I like that is gerbanias (sp?) and other flowers with orange, red, and yellow in the bouquet. I also bought cheap silk flowers and I made a sample bouquet for my bridesmaids. I went to davids bridal to look at bridesmaids dresses with my maid of honor. We found the most beauitful blue color dress. I just fell in love with the color. Now I dont know what to do. Blue (its a darker ocean type blue) is not a fall leaf color. We have a few samples of other colors we all like. I was thinking maybe the blue color and then a minty green go together. Or the blue and the chocolate brown go together, also blue goes with gold, burgandy, ect.

I just was set on the fall colors as the overall color scheme for my wedding, and now that i see that pretty blue, i kinda want that........

Bridesmaids dress colors and wedding color theme.?
Why not stick with the fall theme, and add little touches of blue, maybe as if it represents rainfall, as fall is generally a rainy season. Little touches of blue, like blue table clothes with the fall leaves scattered on top of them, or ice the cake in blue, with the leaves. You could tie a blue ribbon into the bouquets. That way you get everything you want, and tie it all together to.

Congrats on your coming wedding!!
Reply:Brown. :)
Reply:You have some rethinking to do, because orange , red, and yellow bouquets with an ocean blue dress would look just horrible. That's too many colors at work. If you are set on the ocean blue, your bridesmaids will need another bouquet like calla lillies. But you can still have your leaf theme for the reception area.
Reply:If the blue is a dark blue then I think I would look fine with the fall colors that you like, and the orange and yellow flowers you already have. I don't think the dresses have to match the table decorations either. If you need wedding favors please visit my website at www.favorswithlove.com we offer fall favors and many more. Best wishes for your wedding day, truly one of the best days of your life.
Reply:It is your wedding. I also am doing a fall wedding but want silver instead of gold. I've learned that it's okay to break outside the box! David's Bridal has a beautiful Cinnamon color that would look good with blue. Or do 4 different colors - red, orange, blue, green, plum, brown, etc. I would do a darker green over a mint green to keep the colors richer. Look at the bouquets against the blue - I'm sure they look fine! Like someone else said, fall isn't void of blue - rain, the sky, etc. So as long as you like it, keep it! You'll be the one looking at pictures years from now. It is just important that you like what you are looking at. Have fun planning and congrats!
Reply:whats in style know is all white. my mom's wedding was all white. i think white is a good color instead of the tradional white and black. if u want to do that then the brides maids should have on a light pink kinda close to white but not 2 close that u can really see the pink unless ur really close to the person.
Reply:my best friend had an autumn wedding and we each had a different color dress....she had orange, yellow, brown, and purple.... it looked great!! she also had the flower girls drop leaves instead of petals. she decorated her cake with some of the extra leaves too. and if you are wanting the pretty blue color, why not have your MOH wear that dress to set her apart from everyone else...i'll include a pic of her cake just so you can see the leaves...
Reply:I would stick with the fall colors and have the blues for your going away outfit. (if they still do such a thing)

Fall is beautiful and has many wonderful colors to work with.

I had my wedding in December and I went with blues and silver even though every one wanted be to go with red and green.

Its your wedding and do what you think is best for you as the bride.
Reply:Try burgandy and deep deep reds. They're great colors for an autumn wedding.

My wedding color scheme was burgandy-and with all the extras and cream colored flowers, it was absotely gorgeous!!!
Reply:I think that weddings with the bridesmaids in the same or similar style dress, but different colors are beautiful. Blue and mint green would look great mixed in with the fall colors. Your fiance is right, the decorations dont have to be the same as the bridemaids dressess. You can incorpate the blue and mint into the arrangments by using a splash of ribbon that color. Have fun planning and congrats.
Reply:i say add golds to there dresses, or a dark fall orange to accent your wedding colors, or you can have once main color for the wedding by going with the fall theme, and then take the blue from there dresses and do another theme at the reception.
Reply:Have you considered keeping the blue dress for the MOH and having fall colored dresses for the rest of your bridal party? You could substitute the fall color that clashes the most against the blue with something more complimentary and just keep the fall colors the same for the other girls. Hope this has helped :-)
