Having Trouble Deciding Which I Should Pick?
IMO, 1 hour is too far away to ask guests to drive for the reception. 30 minutes is usually the max you should ask guests to drive. Just think - some of them may have to drive long distance just to get to the ceremony...they probably wouldn't want to drive another hour. I would pick Site B. You may have slightly less options, but I think it would be more considerate to your guests.
Reply:I would take the closer site. I wouldn't want to drive more than half an hour to the reception.
Reply:Site B, site A may be nicer, but with the driving times and everything site B is much more convenient and people will have a better time knowing they won't have to drive a long distance after wards. This is especially true if any of them need to take a cab home or to a hotel after all the drinking!
Reply:I have to agree with the above answer, Site B.....closer and with gas prices, people do not want to drive........
Reply:reception A
Reply:Hi and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

I like site B for 2 reasons:

First, it's closer! I'd much rather drive only 20 minutes than 1 hour!

Second...it's cheaper! $6 x 130 = $780 more for you to spend on something else!!

Good luck and I hope you have a beautiful wedding!
Reply:Take B, you will be glad you did.
Reply:These two options seem pretty similar as far as what they are offering. I would go with the place that is closer to ceremony sight...it is easier for everyone as far as traveling goes.
Reply:Definitely site B. That's just inconsiderate of you to expect people to travel to be at your wedding, then to travel another hour on top of that to go to the reception, especially if they'll be drinking and have to get home, too.
Reply:if you want people to come- pick site b. Im guessing youll have a 50% drop off rate from ceremony to reception if you pick the one that is an hour away. Then youll end up paying for tons of food for people that wont even show up. It seems like you want site A- and if you really do then change your ceremony location to be close to that. BUT DO NOT HAVE YOUR RECEPTION 1 HOUR FROM YOUR CEREMONY!!!
