Ok so when i said kids i think i should clarify.........?

well since everyone pratically "had a break down" about me asking why there are so many smart a** "KIDS" on here. in case noone knows this, i was asking this question. say someone ask a legit question like : Does anyone know of any used flower girl dresses and used wedding dress shops in dfw. well then u get a silly response like o well try a bridal shop. REALLY . hmmmmmmmm hadnt thought of that one, just been racking my brain trying to get married and have a wedding that is cost effective. sooooooooooo, much better now :) DOES ANY ONE KNOW OF ANY "BRIDAL SHOPS" BY NAME THAT CARRY USED CHEAP FLOWER GIRL DRESSES OR CONFIRMATION DRESSES

Ok so when i said kids i think i should clarify.........?
some people put ads in the paper selling wedding dresses and bridesmaids etc,and some have never been worn
Reply:If you know the size the girl would wear you could try looking around online at JC Penny's, Macy's and stores like that for dresses. I am willing to bet that you could find one and have it shipped to you in a day or two. Other than that you might want to call up like David's Bridal or a Bridal shop and ask if they know of any place where one could get a slightly used flower girl dress the people there might be able to tell you. Try the yellow pages under children's clothing or clothing for children. There are slightly used children's clothing stores all over, the question is if they have anything that a little girl could wear in your wedding. Maybe try overstock.com they might have something. Usually you can find cute pretty girls dresses just by looking around so you may not need a bridal shop to find one. Good luck!! =)
Reply:Ebay usually has some nice things like that..We bought my sisters wedding dress from there..Good luck!!
Reply:go to a used clothing store like goodwill in an well-to-do area. there are always kids clothes. just look for a dress.
Reply:listen honey. there will always be the smart mouthed out there. the challenge is if you can ignore them and just focus on the proper and the people who use their brain to help rather than be sarcastic. Have a happy and lovely marriage, you are in my prayers.
Reply:Try your local Craigslist

Try a consignment shop

Even check Goodwill!

You may even get lucky through your local Freecycle-ya never know!

You'll have to pay a minimal charge for a cleaning bill, but I know I just saw a gorgeous flower girl dress on my local Craigslist asking price $25.

Like someone else said, you'll always find smart a$$ comments from people. Weed through them and don;t react to the comments. It only adds more fuel to the fire.

All the best to you!
Reply:Hi again.

I don't live in the DFW area, but I think you would be hard pressed to find any bridal stores that carry used dresses.

A couple of thoughts, though......

1. Go to bridal stores. Don't let it scare you. I bought a dress off the rack (clearance) for my son's wedding and I only paid $25!! It was a sample gown that sold for $200 regularly. The point I'm trying to make is.....all bridal stores have clearance or discounted racks. Go and look through them. Styles change....they, like all retail stores, need to get rid of their old stock.

2. Another idea is to look at regular stores....JCPenney (online), Kohl's, Macy's, etc. I went on JCPenney online and there are really cute fancy dresses on clearance for $47.99. Check it out:

3. Go to Ebay!!!! I don't know if you are familiar with Ebay or not, but I just typed in "flower girl dress" and there are 8,600 available!! Just make sure you look on the right hand side and click under "feedback comments" on the seller. Make sure they are reputable. Some have negative feedback so you want to stay away from them. I would buy from a "private seller". It's worth a look.

Good luck!
Reply:Burlington Coat Factory/ Baby Depot I got my daughters dress (she's my flower girl) there for 22 bucks! Not sure there is one in DFW but I'm in South Texas.
Reply:Any formal looking childrens dress can be used as a flower girl dress. Even target.com has flower girl dresses. I think hitting JCPenney, Macy's, or any department store for inexpensive but nice looking girls dresses (think easter!) If you plan right, you might even get them on sale (think.. right after easter or Christmas)
Reply:I do not have a bridal shop by name, however I would recommend searching e-bay or online classifieds for your area. I ended up finding a $75 flower girl dress for $15! It was only worn once! Now THAT is cost effective! Best of luck on your wedding!
