Flower girl Dresses??

Where else can you find flowergirl dresses?

My 2 nieces are my flowergirls and their mom (my sister) can't really afford to spend all the money at once to order the dress from davids bridal, everything has to be paid in full to order.

She has to pay for her maid of honor dress, her husbands tux, my nephews tux for ring bearer, and the 2 flowergirl dresses. We are trying ot help her out with costs, so we are going to pay for my nephews tux, and my brother in laws tux (we will get a free tux from ordering more then 5)

but we can't really afford either to help out anymore with the dresses, my fiance and I are paying for the wedding! (expensive!!) The flower girl dresses are $135 each and the bridesmaid dress $165 ... so she is having to pay over $400 not including tax!! and if we don't order the dresses soon they will not be in intime for the wedding!! :/

So I was thinking of looking for less expensive flowergirl dresses to help out, or maybe layaway!

thanks in advance!

Flower girl Dresses??
Yeah, that's a good idea. Just have her pay for her bridesmaid dress and go look for different flowergirl dresses. Sears, JCPenny, Macy's, ect...all of these dept. stores carry really nice dresses for little girls and are alot less expensive than a bridal shop. Just find ones that will coordinate.
Reply:Like someone said wait for easter dresses to some out, there are also some stores on ebay where they make flower girl/communion dresses and they're cute and cheap (like $20).
Reply:They just need white dresses. Often dresses sold as 'First Communion' dresses aren't as expensive, but are pretty much the same style of dress.

Another option is for her to get them simple, white dresses, and have embellishments put on them (lace, sashes, etc.).

Here are some ideas, some of the coloured dresses are inexpensive, so it depends on your wedding color, too -

Reply:i'm kind of in the same boat. I've decided to just let the flower girl wear a pretty sundress in royal blue or white... (my colors are royal blue and silver) walmart has CHEAP little girl dresses.... thats always an option.
Reply:I found this site and have had good luck with them.

Reply:If they are little girls, why don't you consider having the dresses made? Surely, there is someone in your community, or family even, who might have the talent to sew. These dresses should not be that expensive. You can go to any department store such as Penny's. Sears and find beautiful colorful dresses for $60 or less. They are out there, you just have to look. Also, consider David's Bridal - you can rent any of t heir dresses and accessories. If you purchase a dress, you want the litltle ones to be able to wear them again on some nice Sunday morning.
Reply:I'm going to order my flower girl dresses as well as the ring bearer suit from this website.

I really like their return policy and their prices are very reasonable.
Reply:You don't say when your wedding is, but this is what I did.

We bought the girls Easter dresses, and they were perfect. They were $35 each, which was a huge savings over what David's would have been. Ask around to find out what stores in your area have good Easter dresses- the moms you know will have good suggestions (that's how I got the idea) or, check Macy's and other big department stores. I had three flower girls and had no problem getting three of the same.

Easter is early this year so you might be able to find them in stores now. Good luck!
Reply:I had my flower girl wear a simple white dress that she already had.

We tied a little ribbon around it that matched the BM dresses.

It was perfect and didn't cost a thing.
Reply:I would look at Dillards of Macys, they usually have some really cute, formal dresses for little girls. Good luck!
Reply:Well, if you can wait until Easter time she could probably buy white ones at a regular department store for way cheaper than at a wedding store. If you aren't so attached to the traditional, you guys could go together and find ones that you like at the mall for a good price,
Reply:Thats the samething that I was going to say was wait until Easter, but little girls clothing has always been inexpensive. Check walmart, target, kmart for cute dresses!! Even if their kind of plain remember you can be creative and add a sash thats 1 of your wedding colors and plus the shoes and stockings along with the flower girl basket will definitely dress it up! GOOD LUCK!!
Reply:You should try this! I have two junior bridesmaids in my wedding and their dresses were 119 dollars a piece for a little kids dress! But we ended up looking at a few dresses that were going to be discontinued that looked identical to the dresses I chose (the only difference was the newer version had a sash). The discontinued dresses were 39 dollars!! Try going to a bridal store such as David's Bridal and ask if they have any dresses that are being discontinued. Hope that helps.
Reply:The first link is to the flower girl dress that I bought off of ebay for $17 including shipping!! The second was the back up on ebay that was $28 including shipping. If you look on ebay for flower girl dresses you will find incredible deals! I don't know if the tuxedos for the boys count toward your 5 tuxedo discount but if not, ebay also sells tuxedos for great deals. I just bought a tuxedo for a 1 year old and one for an 8 year old and spent $70 including shipping.

Reply:Get their dresses right after Easter this year. Easter is in March so you know the dresses will fit them. They have gorgeous Easter dresses out there and they go on sale after the holiday. Even before the holiday they are not all that expensive. You could probably find something gorgeous from Macys for $35 each.
Reply:Check around at secondhand shops for something that might coordinate. At my husband's best friend's wedding the groom's mom found a GORGEOUS flower girl dress and a tux for the ring bearer and only paid $60 for the pair. Although it's secondhand, chances are it's probably only been worn once for whatever wedding that flower girl was in. It's definitely worth a look. You might look on ebay for the David's Bridal dresses as well---http://search-desc.ebay.com/search/searc...
Reply:You have a couple of options. If you know anyone who sews you can make some very cute inexpensive dresses. There are lots of patterns out there that can help you out. I made mine, as well as my dress.

Assuming that you are looking to buy something you are in luck as Easter is right around the corner. Chances are good that every retailer in the world will have a ton of very frilly little girls dresses. Remember that they do not have to be exactly the same as the bridesmaids. Little girls in lace throwing flowers are always adorable, even if it is a sundress with a very fancy bow. You might want to check with your local retailers and see what they have. I can tell you that I was glad I didn't spend a fortune on it when at 3 she sat down in the mud during pictures :)

Good luck!
