Trying to decide wedding colors, fiance like blue indigo, i like orchids lily's, I'm thinking indigo and pink

My fiance and I will be getting in married in July or August of 09. We throwing ideas around right know and I've been looking online at brides.com I came across a bouquet of beautiful burgundiesh flowers, I also looked at davids'bridal.com. In davids bridal.com under the create-a-tux link he selected the herringbone/indigo tux as his favorite color.

Would those to colors work together...I was thinking maybe a pink, burgundy tone/shade of some sort. Any color ideas or sights I could look to put the wedding colors together. I'm looking for any color suggestions as well. What other colors would work well with indigo?

Why don't you try buying flowers or clothing that match those colors. See if YOU like how they look, after all it will be you who will be making the decisions for your wedding. I'm also getting married in 09 (March, and am glad i'm not the only one waiting for a long time!:D and my colors will be the palm beach coral from David's bridal). But I say check out the colors on your own, you still have a long time to decide! Good luck with all your plans!
Reply:Blue and pink are complimentary colors. I used periwinkle, silver and pink for my wedding and it was perfect.
Reply:I think that color combination sounds gorgeous!!! Usually in the summer the colors are brighter but by doing indigo and pink it will shock people. It also feels very nautical and preppy. Maybe if you could incorporate some nautical aspects in it would work better. Good luck to you and hope all your wedding plans go well.
Reply:I don't think that the indigo and pink would be nice together but if you want to do a burgundy with the indigo and white I think that would be beautiful. You can go back to davidsbridal.com and see how the colors would look together.
Reply:I would throw in some white, just to brighten things up...
Reply:A favorite color scheme of mine is indigo and silver with shades of purple and pink for the flowers and decorations. I'm guessing the metallic threading on your gown is probably silver. Your bridesmaid could play off of that silver tone with a gown in a color like this:

Something like this for your flowers (this one is a centerpiece with fruit, but I wanted to show the colors together more than anything)

Reply:stick with indigo %26amp; maybe throw in some warm colors with that.

idk about pink,

but maybe.. an orange, or an orange-ish-yellow???

..good luck
Reply:I can't think of any particular sites that will show you the colors. one of my brides picked her perfect color by using paint sample papers she got form home depot then put all her color options down. this will organize your ideas in an easy to visualise way. I now advise all my brides to do the same. pink and indigo sound nice, and it's your favourites. Indigo and brown are always popular and be sure to get some white as a breaking color. the paint idea works wonderful. Good Luck and Congrats.
Reply:That sounds like a rich, elegant and quite glorious color scheme.

What sort of metallic thread/beads/sequins are on your gown? Silver? Gold? Copper? Any of those would make a lovely accent color to fill out the palette. A few touches would make the whole wedding sparkle.

If you're thinking of a slightly less formal look, then perhaps a soft yellow, lavendar, or a paler shade of blue would fill things out nicely.

Whichever direction you take it in, I think this is going to be quite pretty.
Reply:STOP looking online!!!!!!!! Go to a florist and look at the colors (and flowers) together. Go to a linen store, or fabric store, again, look at the colors together. Actually seeing them in person is much different than seeing them online. You just might find you don't like these colors after all. If you purchase online, it's much more difficult to make changes.
Reply:Add a little silver and white to the mix to brighten it up.
Reply:the blue, pink and burgandy with ivory would work nice together.
